Deleting the Printer Driver

When you have to remove the printer driver, for example, when reinstallation of the printer driver is necessary, remove the driver using the following procedure.

1. Open [System Preferences] in the Apple menu, then click the [Print & Fax] icon.

   • In Mac OS X 10.7/10.8, click the [Print & Scan] icon. In Mac OS X 10.9, click the [Printers & Scanners] icon.

   • In Mac OS X 10.2/10.3, select [Macintosh HD] (system hard disk) - [Applications] - [Utilities], then double-click [Printer Setup Utility] or [Print Center] to open it.

2. Select the printer you want to delete, and then click [-] (or [Delete]).

   The selected printer is deleted.

3. Close the screen.

4. From [Library] - [Printers] - [PPDs] - [Contents] - [Resources] on [Macintosh HD] where the driver was installed (in Mac OS X 10.5/10.6/10.7/10.8/10.9, from [Resources] and in Mac OS X 10.2/10.3/10.4, from [Resources] - [en.lproj] and [de.lproj]/[es.lproj]/[fr.lproj]/[it.lproj]/[ja.lproj]/[ko.lproj]/[zh_CN.lproj]/[zh_TW.lproj]), drag the following files to the [Trash] icon.

   • [KONICAMINOLTAC754e.gz]

   • [KONICAMINOLTAC654e.gz]

5. Delete unnecessary files from [Library] - [Printers].

   • Drag the [C754] folder, which is located in [Library] - [Printers] - [KONICAMINOLTA], to the [Trash] icon.

   • In addition, if you are using Mac OS X 10.2, drag all the [KONICA MINOLTA C754] folders, which are located in [Library] - [Printers] - [PPDPlugins], to the [Trash] icon.

6. In Mac OS X 10.2/10.3/10.4/10.5, drag [bizhub C754_xxx.pkg], which is located in [Library] - [Recipients], to the [Trash] icon.

7. Restart the computer.

   This completes the deletion process of the printer driver.
